The vibes of the Seattle Kraken are notably bad right now. They can’t seem to buy themselves a win, and they’re heading very much in the wrong direction.
The guys recorded this one before Wednesday’s loss to Edmonton, and they were already feeling pretty down about how things had been going for Seattle.
In this episode, lots of discussion about what’s wrong with the Kraken, but also lots of talk about what’s been happening around the hockey world.
What a fun episode this is! John and Darren are in Denver for Kraken versus Avalanche, but they also interviewed Chet Buchanan before Seattle’s game against Nashville last week. It is an insanely fun interview.
Also in this episode, the guys break down the Predators, Flames, and Coyotes games, then go Down on the Farm.
After the interview, they shift to segments, which this week feature:
The boys recorded the latest episode of the Sound Of Hockey Podcast on Halloween night, so there’s a slightly spookier mood to this one than usual.
And while the mood in BarrDown Studios is spooky, the mood surrounding the Kraken has gotten a bit brighter after their 2-1-1 road trip.
John, Darren, and Curtis break down the games against Carolina, Florida, and Tampa Bay. They then head Down on the Farm before jumping into their regular segments.

The Kraken are four games into the season, and things haven’t gone their way thus far. As such, the vibes haven’t been particularly high. In sympathy, Curtis and John’s voices are both very much broken, but they do their best in this one to fight through. Tune in to find out which host doesn’t make it all the way through.
On this episode, the guys recap Seattle’s last three games and give the latest Kraken news.
They also do a quick Kraken Roundtable, go Down on the Farm, and do a quick Let’s Get Quizzical.
Segments include Goalie Gear Corner, You Don’t See That Every Day, and Weekly One-Timers.
