We all witnessed perhaps the craziest hockey game ever on Tuesday, and 9-8 overtime contest between the Kraken and the Kings, and the Sound Of Hockey Podcast is here to talk about it. Fresh off the bizarre game, John, Andy, and Darren have lots of opinions about what played out, and they ring some alarm bells about what a game like that might mean for the Seattle Kraken.
Aside from that crazy game, the guys also break down the recent Kraken games against the Sharks, Golden Knights, and Ducks, and share the latest Seattle news, like Morgan Geekie getting hurt, Magnus Hellberg getting claimed (again), and Shane Wright having success in the AHL.
It’s a fun new episode of the Sound Of Hockey Podcast, which dives right into a disappointing Seattle Kraken loss to the Winnipeg Jets this past Sunday. John, Andy, and Darren break down that game that ended in frustrating fashion after Carson Soucy took a bad retaliation penalty with 25 seconds left.
After moaning about that game for a bit, the guys consider what has been happening for the club in overtime, where it has been highly unsuccessful. They also consider Magnus Hellberg returning to the team, Gustav Olofsson swapping in for Cale Fleury, and the first live action of Seattle’s Reverse Retro jerseys.
On the latest episode of the Sound Of Hockey Podcast, the guys consider an important rhetorical question, wondering which of the three hosts–John, Andy, or Darren–you, the listener dislikes. Once they’re done waxing poetic, they jump into Kraken talk, recapping Seattle’s last three games and discussing this current five-game win streak.
That talk leads to an interesting Hype-o-thetical about the Trade Deadline and how the Kraken might approach that.
Once they’re done with Kraken talk, the guys to a WHL Update, then dive into segments.
Segments this week feature Goalie Gear Corner, Bad Boys, Weekly One-Timers, and Tweets of the Week.
It’s a new episode of the Sound Of Hockey Podcast, and the vibes for the Seattle Kraken are quite high right now (hopefully those vibes persist for a while). John, Andy, and Darren talk first about Darren’s Halloween costume, which was quite funny, then dive right into a breakdown of all of Seattle’s most recent games, including a stunning 5-4 comeback win over the Calgary Flames.
Down on the Farm, the Coachella Valley Firebirds have finished their Seattle “residency,” and Jesper Froden has been named the AHL’s Player of the Month.
Next, Andy leads an interesting WHL Update that covers the Thunderbirds, Silvertips, and a unique record for the Red Deer Rebels.
The show then shifts to segbits, which this week features You Don’t See That Every Day, Bad Boys, Weekly One-Timers, and Tweets of the Week.
It’s a new Sound Of Hockey Podcast Episode! This one has *lots* of Seattle Kraken coverage, as the team has had a few highs and lows over the past week, with highs being the wins against Colorado and Buffalo, and the low being a painful loss in Chicago.
The guys also discuss the new Reverse Retro jerseys from across the NHL and give their favorites and least favorites. They also share their reactions to the Kraken Reverse Retro jersey.
Next, the show talks about the recent Coachella Valley Firebirds games that were played in Seattle and Andy gives a WHL Update.
On this latest Sound Of Hockey episode, the guys take a temperature check on the Seattle Kraken after four games and determine that the vibes are, in fact, weird.
Not sure what to make of the team that looked dominant in the first two games and dismal in the next two, John, Andy, and Darren dig into the good and the bad of what they’ve seen so far. They also discuss what’s been happening with Shane Wright and his limited minutes, as well as the goaltending.
From there, it becomes a rather segbit-heavy show, as the guys dive right into Down on the Farm to discuss the first two Coachella Valley Firebirds games. They then shift to Bad Boys, You Don’t See That Every Day, Weekly One-Timers, and Tweets of the Week.
