In the latest episode of Sound of Hockey, the guys are over the moon about the NHL’s Board of Governors Executive Committee recommending acceptance of Seattle’s expansion application. There’s no shortage of discussion on what this means to the city, the fans, and the league.

John, Andy, and Darren also chat about the latest from around the NHL, including some surprising and unfortunate injury news, interesting post-camp roster moves, and what will happen now that Joe Thornton has decided to shave his beard.

Other hard-hitting topics include Auston Matthews’ photo shoot for GQ, Carolina wearing Hartford Whalers uniforms, and an analysis of the commercials currently being played on NHL Network.
