Three Takeaways – Kraken blow late lead, lose again in painful fashion to Oilers
Welp… Wednesday’s 4-3 Kraken overtime loss to the Oilers had Nov. 6, 2021 vibes to it. If you’re not sure what happened on Nov. 6, 2021, that was the night when the Seattle Kraken—in their inaugural campaign—limped into Gila River Arena with their season veering in a...
Ep. 261 – Vibes Are Bad (And We Recorded This BEFORE the Game in Edmonton)
The vibes of the Seattle Kraken are notably bad right now. They can't seem to buy themselves a win, and they're heading very much in the wrong direction. The guys recorded this one before Wednesday's loss to Edmonton, and they were already feeling pretty down about...
Three Takeaways – Kraken start well, but take another lopsided loss to Avalanche
It might be time to get concerned about this Kraken team. We've been preaching patience, expecting Seattle to eventually figure it out and rip off a bunch of wins in a row. We even (perhaps naively) thought such a streak could get started after coach Dave Hakstol gave...
Monday Musings – I hate Saturdays
Another Monday Musings and another sinking feeling about this team. The Kraken are now 0-4-1 on Saturday nights this season... We all knew the Saturday egg was coming against the Oilers, right? Edmonton was coming off a humiliating loss to the San Jose Sharks, and the...

Three Takeaways – Kraken come out flat, lose 4-1 to desperate Oilers
Some nights, you just sense an ugly loss coming. Remember, when the Kraken fell to Calgary last Saturday, Nov. 4, the Flames came in on a six-game losing streak. They were desperate, as everyone knew they would be, yet Seattle lacked urgency that night. Against the...
Three Takeaways – Kraken earn memorable 4-3 win over Avalanche
We don't want to sound too hyperbolic, but we think that was one of those Kraken wins that will stick with us for a while. Aside from Seattle skating away with a last-minute 4-3 win over the Avalanche, there were storylines galore in this one, and we felt several...
Ep. 260 – Featuring Chet Buchanan, Kraken PA Announcer
What a fun episode this is! John and Darren are in Denver for Kraken versus Avalanche, but they also interviewed Chet Buchanan before Seattle's game against Nashville last week. It is an insanely fun interview. Also in this episode, the guys break down the Predators,...
Kraken recall Wright and Winterton, await MRI results on injured Eberle
The Seattle Kraken announced Wednesday afternoon they had recalled two young forwards from the Coachella Valley Firebirds of the AHL: Shane Wright, Seattle’s 2022 first-round pick, and Ryan Winterton, Seattle’s 2021 third-round pick. Wright logged only eight NHL games...
